Secure Your Birmingham Office Space
With all the festivities flowing we advise companies and staff to be extra vigilant and make sure your Birmingham office space is secure when leaving in the evening and over the Christmas period. It's a shame, but crime does occur and often when people are so excited about Christmas they forget that window lock or to double bolt a door.
Managed offices, like those on the Birmingham Business Park are looked after with security in place, but it's worth remembering that we all need to do our bit and not make our offices an open invitation.

The more modern alternative is through the email and texts, but often a christmas card will be displayed and therefore your business logo on display.
If you have moved into new Birmingham office space why not think about getting some cards of your business location or even a traditional card adapted with your company logo and new address if you have moved premises.

Plan Your Christmas Party with Safety in Mind
We are guessing that you are well and truly in the festive mood now and thinking of those office parties and planning the night with your workmates. There certainly are lots of businesses across the Birmingham Business Park that are celebrating.
If you have planned a night out make sure everyone knows the venue and make sure every member of your workforce know how they are getting home and have pre-booked taxis or lifts. Towards the end of the night it might get tricky to get transport if you have not booked.
If you have not opted for a Christmas night out, why not consider turning your Birmingham office space into a party for an afternoon. Show your employees they are valued and considered important with maybe even a secret santa thrown in. Some ideas to create the office party mode can include everyone bringing in party snacks, crackers, secret santa or even Christmas music.
Why not see if there are other offices close by on the Birmingham Business Park and see if you can combine a party in the kitchen or office space.

Get Birmingham Office Space Ready for Christmas
By now your Birmingham office space, or at least the offices around you may well have got into the festive spirit and started the countdown to Christmas. If you are based in shared or serviced offices the chances are the reception area will be tastefully decorated as it is still important to have a professional business presence. If you are the company owner, you might want to think about creating the festive atmosphere within your individual office.
You don't need to go over the top and make it into a winter wonderland and so festive you cannot see the desks or walls for tinsel, Christmas trees and fake snow, but some small touches to your Birmingham office space can make a great difference.
You need to first think about who is in your office and if everyone wants to get involved. Respect those that might find this time of year hard (for any reason) or they may not celebrate it. Think of the small things like desk trees or Happy Christmas banners.
You can also look into fake snow to spray onto the windows or even some holly (or mistletoe) to hang around the office. Why not think about a wreath for the office door that can be welcoming.
Whatever you decide, staff and employers must reach the balance between festive cheer and celebrating to remaining professional. You may want to come to work dressed as Santa or an elf but that does not mean everyone else wants to see that. Also remember that the mistletoe and tinsel you stuck to your office walls will need to come down so try to think about that paint coming off or check before the cellotape comes out.

Starting a Business in the Midlands - Finding Offices to Let Birmingham
There are many things to consider for a new start-up business when finding the location for your fist office space location. Having a centrally located location is a great way to have good access to travel anywhere in the UK so here are some tips and advice on things to consider when looking for Birmingham office space or anywhere else in the UK.
The location is the key most important factor so you have to think hard about where your base of business is going to be located. If the business is going to have a lot of dealings with people coming to the office then you should consider offices to let in Birmingham since it’s centrally located. You want to make sure there is good travel access for both business visitors and your employees, so locations near train stations could be very useful.
It’s important to make sure that you will have enough space to accommodate your business. This includes the business in its current size but also take into consideration growth so that you have enough space for your projected business growth targets. Some business parks offer additional support to help you during the initial start-up period and as you grow your business. This can include services such as mentoring and finance advice. Depending on your plans for the future, the length of the building lease varies from business to business, with a Birmingham office space offering leases from 6 months to three years. You may only need a short six month lease if you don’t want to commit to a long term one straight away, or you may want to go straight for a longer one so think about how you envision the future growth of your business.
You may want to have a look at any facilities that are located nearby, for example shops, supermarkets or pubs. You may want to have a team lunch outing on a Friday but if there’s nowhere close by that won’t be happening. Some business parks even have shops and bars located on site and even have a fitness centre and swimming pool. This could really add to the benefits for your employees.
The number of car park spaces is an important factor because you will need to make sure there are significant spaces for all employees and also any visitors that will be visiting your office space. Think about whether you only have one outside visitor come at a time or will need multiple spaces if you have large numbers come for meetings at the same time. You will also want to think about security, both in terms of the business park and for your business office space itself and whether you will be able to access your Birmingham office space 24/7 or whether there are restrictions on the access to the building.
There are many other factors to consider so if you have any more please leave a comment below:
