Bruntwood, a commercial property firm based in Manchester has bought Centre City in Birmingham. Centre City is a landmark building in the heart of the city offering plenty of office space that is located close to the station and Bull Ring shopping centre.
The building in question contains 20 floors covering about 208,000 sq ft for office space to let and car parking for over 200 cars. Parking is a consideration for companies when basing their operations so this is a good number to cover the range of businesses that could move into the building. Currently there is 25,000 sq ft that is already refurbished and ready for companies to start operating in with Legal & General and Ofwat already utilising the space.
There are plans to invest over £4 million into the property for renovation, with plans to add a brand new entrance and reception area later on this year. The director of Bruntwood commented that the acquisition of “Centre City will enhance our presence in the marketplace and reflects our long-term plans for growth within the city.”
Basing your business in the city centre of Birmingham works for some businesses but there are also other options, such as out of town business parks that also offer great Birmingham office space in a countryside setting.
